What’s Delta-Neutral, and why do Funds trade Delta-Neutral?

When running delta-neutral trading strategies, you don’t bet on direction. You bet on structure. Delta-neutral strategies aim to neutralize market exposure. This means holding off-setting positions (e.g., long on spot, short on perps) with tight balance in between. Profits come from either of the following:

  • Funding rate spreads

  • Basis differentials

Its basically compounding the benefits of the edge derived from delta-neutral trading (hedging), for growth stability regardless of market conditions.

How To Access

  1. Open your OKX account

  2. Go to Settings → Account Modes

  3. Select Delta-Neutral Mode

  4. You're live.

You can also create a sub-account to run delta-neutral trading in isolation from your main account

  1. Go to Sub-accounts → Strategy Type

  2. Select Delta-Neutral Mode

  3. You're live

Delta neutral goes live for all KYC and KYB VIP level users, on the 7th of November, 2025, in the following markets/region only:
