Content Policy for OKX Orbit

1. Overview

OKX Orbit (“Orbit”) is a platform where OKX users can share ideas, insights, and discussions. To keep Orbit safe, informative, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations, all users must follow this Content Policy (“Policy”), which may be updated from time to time.

Your participation in Orbit and any of its features constitutes agreement to (i) this Policy, (ii) the OKX Terms of Service, (iii) where applicable, the OKX Affiliate Program Agreement, and (iv) all applicable laws and regulations. In the event of any conflict, OKX reserves the right to determine which terms govern the relevant activity.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all user-generated content on Orbit, including but not limited to:

  • Text posts, comments, images, videos, and GIFs

  • Direct messages, group chats, and community discussions

  • Usernames, profile bios, and avatars

  • Livestreams, live audio sessions, real-time chat, and other interactive broadcast features

“Content” means anything you post, transmit, or make available on Orbit.


3. General Principles

  • Respect and Integrity: Treat others with respect. Do not post content that harasses, intimidates, or threatens anyone.

  • Accuracy: Ensure any factual claims are accurate and not misleading.

  • Transparency: Disclose any material connections or incentives when you are sharing or discussing products, tokens, or services.

  • Compliance: You are responsible for ensuring that your content complies with applicable laws, including but limited to those concerning advertising, financial promotions, and digital assets.

4. Prohibited Content

You may not post or share content that includes or relates to:

(a) Illegal or Restricted Activities

  • Any content that violates applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction or in the jurisdiction of your audience.

  • Promotion or facilitation of money laundering, fraud, scams, or terrorist financing.

  • Unlicensed financial, investment, or securities offerings.

(b) Misleading, Fraudulent, or Manipulative Content

  • False or misleading statements about assets, tokens, projects, or services.

  • Market manipulation, “pump and dump” schemes, or coordinated trading behavior.

  • Impersonation of individuals, companies, or projects.

(c) Hate, Violence, or Abuse

  • Content promoting hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or any protected status.

  • Bullying, harassment, or personal threats.

(d) Sexual, Obscene, or Exploitative Material

  • Pornographic, sexually explicit, or exploitative content.

  • Any material involving minors.

(e) Intellectual Property Infringement

  • Content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other proprietary rights.

(f) Spam and Malicious Behavior

  • Repetitive or irrelevant posting.

  • Content containing malware, phishing links, or deceptive URLs.

  • Coordinated inauthentic behavior, including the use of multiple accounts, bots, or paid accounts to artificially amplify content, manipulate discussions, or misrepresent user sentiment.

  • Acting as a paid shill, undisclosed promoter, or spam account for the purpose of artificially promoting or suppressing projects, tokens, products, services, or narratives.

  • Frequently posting irrelevant updates, promotional content, or comments in public areas in a manner that disrupts the Orbit community environment.

  • Malicious diversion of traffic away from Orbit through deceptive tactics, spam links, or coordinated redirection efforts.

(g) TradFi Comparisons

  • Content that directly compares OKX products to traditional finance (TradFi) products.

(h) Competitor Derogatory Content

  • Content that attacks or insults competitor products or services.

(i) Legal Advice or Opinions

  • Content that provides legal commentary or speculation about laws, regulations, or litigation. OKX is not a law firm, and you should consult with a qualified professional for legal advice.

(j) Misrepresentation of Risk

  • Content that suggests cryptocurrency is risk-free. Cryptocurrency is a volatile asset class and users should be aware of the potential risks before investing.

5. Financial Content

When sharing financial or other types of products, tokens, services, or projects:

  • Disclose Relationships: If you receive compensation or have a material connection to a project or token, disclose it clearly.

  • Avoid Investment Advice: Content on Orbit must not include or be construed as investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.

  • Include Disclaimers: All sponsored content must include clear and conspicuous disclaimers (e.g., “This content is sponsored by [Project Name]”).

  • Comply with Local Laws: Check and follow all applicable advertising and securities regulations in your jurisdiction.

  • Affiliate Compliance: Affiliates must comply with the OKX Affiliate Program Agreement, the applicable OKX Terms of Service, this Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations (together, the “Terms”).

6. Content Removal and Enforcement

OKX may remove, restrict, or report any content or account that violates this Policy or applicable law. We may also:

  • Temporarily or permanently suspend account access.

  • Disable features.

  • Report unlawful content to authorities where required.

Decisions are made at OKX’s sole discretion, and enforcement actions may vary depending on severity, risk, and applicable law. Coordinated manipulation, spam networks, or undisclosed promotional activity may result in immediate suspension without prior notice.

8. Content and Data Disclosures

Content from Orbit is not considered financial advice, recommendations, or solicitations to buy or sell cryptocurrencies. OKX does not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of the information on Orbit, and is not liable for any damages arising from inaccuracies, errors, or omissions.

Information may be collected, stored, and shared in accordance with the OKX Privacy Policy that applies to the OKX entity to which you are onboarded as a member.

9. Livestreaming and Real-Time Content

OKX may enable livestreaming, live audio, real-time chat, or similar interactive features via Orbit (“Livestreaming”). Livestreaming content is subject to the Terms.

(a) Real-Time Responsibility

Users are responsible for all statements made during a livestream, including spontaneous remarks, responses to live chat, and guest participation. The real-time nature of Livestreaming does not exempt content from compliance obligations.

(b) Financial Promotions and Investment Discussions

During Livestreaming, you must not:

  • Provide investment advice, trading signals, or personalized financial recommendations.

  • Make price predictions, guarantees of returns, or statements suggesting risk-free trading.

  • Encourage coordinated trading behavior or market manipulation.

Where digital assets, products, services, campaigns, or tokens are discussed:

  • Appropriate risk disclosures must be clearly communicated.

  • If the livestream includes sponsored or compensated content, the sponsorship must be clearly disclosed at the beginning of the livestream and periodically during the session in a clear and conspicuous manner.

  • Written disclaimers must also be displayed prominently in the livestream and the applicable Orbit section(s) where technically feasible.

(c) Affiliate and Sponsored Livestreams

If you participate in Orbit’s livestreaming feature as an OKX Affiliate:

  • You must clearly disclose your affiliate relationship.

  • You must comply with the Terms.

  • Referral codes, links, or incentives must be presented transparently and may not be framed as guaranteed profit opportunities.

(d) Guest Speakers and Third-Party Participation

Livestreaming hosts are responsible for ensuring that guest speakers comply with this Policy and any applicable terms. Livestreaming hosts must not invite guests for the purpose of providing unauthorized financial advice, unlicensed securities offerings, or unlawful promotions. OKX reserves the right to terminate or interrupt livestreams that present elevated regulatory or operational risk.

(e) Moderation and Recording

OKX may monitor, record, archive, or review livestream content and associated chats for compliance, legal, and operational purposes. Livestreams may be suspended, removed, or restricted at OKX’s sole discretion where there is, but not limited to, risk of regulatory non-compliance, consumer harm, market manipulation, or misleading or deceptive practices.

(f) Jurisdictional Compliance

Orbit users and livestreamers are responsible for ensuring that livestream content complies with the laws of their place of residence and the jurisdictions of their intended audience. Certain products or services may not be available or marketed in restricted jurisdictions.

10. Updates to This Policy

This Policy is not exhaustive and does not encompass all possible scenarios or prohibited behaviors. OKX reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to amend, update, or supplement the terms of this Policy to reflect legal, regulatory, or operational changes. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of Orbit following such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
